Tomasz Wilmanski

Postdoctoral Fellow

Tomasz Wilmanski is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Hood-Price lab at the Institute for Systems Biology. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in philosophy and psychology from Tufts University in 2011. Tomasz then continued his education at Purdue University where he graduated with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in health statistics and a PhD in biochemical and molecular nutrition, both in 2017. Tomasz’s dissertation research focused on metabolic reprograming during breast cancer progression and its link to reductive-oxidative balance. Further work involved characterizing the mechanism of metabolic regulation by vitamin D in breast epithelial cells and its potential role in inhibiting breast cancer development. Tomasz’s expertise lies in cell metabolism and metabolomics, biochemistry, statistical analysis, and human nutrition.
